Soon after, Sarah printed out a chart of Morse code. She and her vaginas resolved to study it every day until they could hold a decent conversation. Of course, the cheerleader had to have a pen and paper handy to decipher each message, but it was much faster than her old system once she could remember what she learned.
Very quickly, they were discussing their next course of action. While the stone might be lost, they could still search for a solution. Jon pointed out that accessing his grandfather's research should be a top priority. The stone had to have come from somewhere. Perhaps the thing that created the stone could also overrule its effects.
Also, while it could be risky, they could try to track down the stone itself. Chances are whoever had picked it up would use it eventually. True, they would be unaware of any changes, but wishes tended to leave odd inconsistencies in reality. If they noticed anything unexplainable in the world around them, they might be able to use that as a clue.
For her part, Karyn added that the stone only proved that magic existed in the world, and it would be reasonable to assume that other magical items could be found. There may even be people who could help, if they knew where to look.
With their input, Sarah compiled a list of things to look into. Jon's grandfather's research, the Incan civilization, magic, magic items, etc. With that, the unlikely trio prepared to face the upcoming days together.
