The next thing that the two of them knew Susan was standing over Pete, shaking him gently. “Rise and shine sleepy head,” she said. “What time is it” he asked 10 was the reply. “Remember we are going shopping before you start your shift tonight at least that's what you told me you wanted to do.” “I thought I would tag along as there are some things I want to get” she went on to say. I have already had my shower, it's all yours.” She said as turned to the bedroom to change out of her pajamas. She still had some of her clothes here as she had yet to pick them up after the last time they had broken up maybe that was a good sign maybe not. Pete thought. At the moment he wasn't bothered as he went to get his shower and shave.
About an hour and a half later they were walking round the town centre in and out of shops sometimes buying something sometimes not. Pete had forgotten how much Susan liked to shop. A short time later we decided to stop for lunch. “Hey Pete we are near your work why don't we go there the food's good,” asked Susan. “Why not it will give me a chance to check what time I start tonight I'm not sure” he answered. When we got to the bar we took a seat near the window. Within a minute Susan's brother John came over to them. Yeah, his Ex's brother was his boss oh the joy at least we were all on good terms.
“Don't tell me you two are back together again” he asked with a big smile on his face. “No we were just doing some shopping in the town before my shift” Pete replied. “Speaking of which I need to check what time I start tonight back soon,” He said as he made my way to the office. When he came back to find the two of them laughing at something but he didn’t know what. “You are joking” was all Pete heard John say as he then saw me coming. “I start a five Pete said to Susan so I will need to go after this.” Pete said “Shame Susan said. “I was having fun.” And with that, they ordered their meal and had lunch.
After lunch, Pete turned to leave, “Well I did only have a few hours before I would need to be back at the bar for work.” Pete told the two of them “John said he would give me home it will give us a chance to catch up,” Susan told Him. “Fair enough,” Pete said see you later and with that, he started the journey back to his flat before returning for work.
“Come Susie you have to be joking,” John said to his sister. “You mean Pete went all the way home from the theatre with a face full of makeup and didn't notice it.” “Not quite” answered Susan “He just didn't think that there was anything wrong with him having the makeup on that's all.” she corrected her brother. “That makes all the difference,” John said sarcastically.
It was at this moment that Steven came into the bar. “I am feeling a bit rough after last night I need a drink,” he said making his way to the bar. Once there he saw John and Susan standing there. “Hi guys,” he said making his way over to them. “Steven will tell brother what happened with Pete last night” asked Susan. Steven told John the events of the night before but went one step further than Susan had and told John that Pete could be put back under again.
“You mean that if you told him to do so he would make up his face again” John asked. “That and anything else I asked him to do within reason,” Steven replied. “Thanks for that Steven” Susan said disapprovingly “I hadn't told him that bit.” “I live to serve,” Steven said to her with a smile on his face. “Don't worry Sis I wouldn't do anything nasty to Pete I know how fond of him you are” John said turning to his sister. “I only want to get him back for jokes he has played on me in the past” he went on to say. “I take it by that statement you have an idea forming in that head of yours,” asked Steven.
“Oh I have an idea and what an idea it is” came John's reply.
