Not only did Jon not ask for the man to be dead, but he didn't ask for him to be injured either. All that he asked for was for Karyn to have a male body. So he just had to wish that the man is well.

Wait. Would that work? If there is a person in your room and he isn't dead or injured, does that really count as having his body? Nobody talked like that. If you have a dead or unconscious body in your room, everyone would say "you have a body in your room". But if you just have a guest in your room, nobody would say "you have a body in your room", even though the guest is in your room and the guest has a body.

"I wish that the man found in Karyn's room would get well soon and that neither Karyn nor myself are to blame for him being there or being hurt."

The stone glowed. Jon looked around. Nothing seemed to have changed at all.

But then, just because it isn't their fault doesn't mean the police would know that. The police would have to investigate and find evidence that shows it isn't their fault. They just arrived and had no time to find any evidence yet. If so, Karyn should be able to get through this safely, and Jon didn't need to make any more wishes. Unless something came up anyway....
