Jon had spent the time since Tina’s phone call planning what he was going to do. He decided to take Tina with him after all, he thought she knew about the stone so she had Karyn’s memories but how to make sure she did not freeze at 4 am as everyone did? He had to come up with a wish that protected her better than the one that he had come up with for Karyn. Yeah, that had worked well hadn’t it? That thought brought Karyn to the front of his mind. He tried to push thoughts of her to the side. Unless he was able to find out what these blue men were up to and stop them he would never be able to get her back.
In the early evening, he made himself something to eat as his mom was at work and his new sister was. Mikey was spending the weekend at a friend's as his mom would not be there. Once he had finished he went back to work on the wish. A little after nine he had one.
He wrote it down. He was pleased by what he had come up with. All he had to do now was to say it when Tina came round later. He looked at the clock and saw that it was approaching 9.30. He had learned from the last few nights that he would need all the energy possible to deal with what was going to happen later. These blue men seemed to be able to stop time for as long as they wanted to so that they could complete their assigned tasks for that night. He picked up his phone and sent Tina a message to get some sleep just now as she would her strength later. About ten minutes later she replied will do. They agreed to meet up at the corner of the block. Good thing that Karyn lived almost next door to each other and as Tina was in Karyn’s place at the moment so did she. Just a few blocks apart it would be really helpful tonight when they attempted to stop the blue men.
He turned round after setting his alarm and tried to get some sleep. In what seemed no time at all to Jon his alarm had gone off. He looked at his phone and saw that it was 3.30 am time to get himself ready for another late night.
