"Maybe there's a way that you could locate where this other magical artifact is, assuming it exists?" Zoe suggested.
"Oh, it exists. And I don't need to cast a spell to know how close it is. Judging by how my crystal ball is acting, the artifact must be in your house," Athena said.
"Here? How could that be?" Zoe asked.
"Come on. My crystal ball should glow brighter when we get closer to where it is," Athena said, hopping off of Zoe's bed, the skirt of her gothic dress swishing around a bit, then headed to the door. Once they were out in the hall, she headed towards the stairs, but saw the crystal ball fade in light slightly. "Okay, wrong way." She turned around and headed back in the other direction. Eventually, they realized that the other magical artifact must have been in Jon's bedroom.
"Jon has a magical artifact? Why am I just now finding out about this?" Zoe asked, irritated that her brother hadn't let her in on his secret. Though, they didn't always get along so well. Maybe he felt that he couldn't trust her.
Without hesitation, Athena opened the door (it was fortunately unlocked) and walked inside. Zoe followed, but collided into Athena, when her friend suddenly halted.
"Athena, what ..." Then Zoe saw what her friend was staring at. "Santa Claus?" she asked, surprised and bewildered.
