"Since you're leaving the choice of activities to me, I guess we could explore a bi, get you used to everything around here. And, maybe get you some better clothes." Suzie said.

I nodded, especially liking the part about getting me new clothes, but then stopped. "Don't clothes cost...gold?" I asked. I quickly checked my inventory, and affirmed that I currently had no money at all.

"Well, yeah." Suzie said. "Don't worry about that, I've got quite a bit saved up from quests and what not. I'll cover you this time."

"Well, normally my masculine pride would keep me from letting my girlfriend pay for something for me, but it's a bit hard to have masculine pride when wearing a skirt, so lead on." I said, causing Suzie to chuckle a bit.

"Alright, but first, we'll stop by my house so you can set that up as your starting point. That way, you don't have to start down in the lower city." Suzie said, walking off toward the west side of the city.

"That'd be good. Walking all the way up here every time I start the game up would get annoying after a while." I said, following after her.

The walk to her house took about 10 minutes, and the entire time I was marvelling at what I saw in the city. It was easy to see how people could forget that this was all virtual. Everything was so real. I could hear people's boots hitting the stone roads, the clanging of their armor and weapons as they walked past. It was so amazing.

When we finally arrived at Suzie's house, my jaw almost hit the ground. It was three stories tall, and quite a bit larger than my house in real life. "This is your house?" I asked.

"Well, I am a rouge..." Suzie said. "Most people pay quite a bit to hire rouge's for quests, and I'm pretty good at finding hidden treasure."

"But still, to afford a place like this after only a little while? That's amazing."

"Actually, this isn't even close to some of the things you can buy." Suzie said, unlocking the door. "I've heard that higher leveled characters can actually buy their own floating islands."

"Floating Islands? Why would you need a whole island to yourself?" I asked.

"Some players turn it into their own personal paradise. Some use them as places to gather with friends and just hang out." She then paused. "And I've heard some hackers and devils use them to create their own dungeons or palaces. I've heard alot of bad things along those lines."

I stayed silent. The one down side of being able to feel everything your character did was that you could feel the negative as well as the positive, and hackers could take advantage of that to really mess with people. That was the exact reason a number of people had been brought up on legal charges for causing harm to other people within the game. And, despite all the steps the programmers took to up their security, some people were still capable of cracking the code and manipulating it to their advantage.

"Anyway, enough on that. Come on in." Suzie said, pushing the door open.

I followed her inside and looked around. Despite the size of the house, the furnishings were rather sparse. Suzie was obviously keeping the place down to the bare essentials. The living room only had a couple of chairs and a sofa in it, and it didn't look like the rest of the house was going to be much different.

"I know what you're thinking..." Suzie said. "I decided there was no point in spending alot of money on furniture. I mostly have this place to act as a start point for when I log in and as a place to store my equipment."

"Makes sense." I said. "Speaking of, how do I set this up as my starting point?"

"Oh, right. Just open up your status menu, and choose set present location as starting point."

I followed her directions, and after a moment, I was done. "So, what now?" I asked.

"Well, unless you like walking around in a skirt, we could go get you some new clothes." Suzie said.

"Well, as much fun as I'm having wearing this... I think getting new clothes sounds like a fantastic idea." I said.

"Alright, then let's go." Suzie said, headin toward the door.
