As Jon drew closer to Sarah's house, he saw her father's Lexus driving away. He continued up to Sarah's house, opening the front door and pacing up the stairs to Sarah's room. Farther down the hall, he heard the shower running.
Although he had never been in Sarah's house before, Jon had no trouble discerning which room was Sarah's. He'd never seen so many stuffed animals and mirrors in his life. He also noticed that the shower noises were coming from Sarah's (apparently) private bathroom.
But what really drew his eye was that she had left the rock on her pillow.
