Suddenly Sarah strolled around the corner, catching Jon, Karen/Ethel, and the other two girls by suprise. She was accompanied by Mike Scholly and Rich Hunter, each carrying some of her books. The two had formerly been the boyfriends of Vera and Suzy, but they now knew the two girls only as social misfits whom they routinely snickered at and ridiculed. "Well, well, what is this-a geek convention? So Jon, what have you and your tubby girlfried Ethel been discussing with these two?" "Oh, uh.." Jon began to stammer, before Ethel jumped in. "Nothing important Sarah-you know, geeky things like drama club and Harry Potter and stuff." Ethel tried to mask her fear but was as terrified as the others at the sight of Sarah.
"Why don't you take my books to class for me, boys, and get me a good seat," said Sarah. As the boys sauntered off she continued " I wished that I'd know whenever you or Jon lied to me, Ethel. Now you're all going to find out I mean business." At the sound of this, Jon made a sudden lunge for her, but Sarah jumped back and exclaimed "I wish you were all frozen in place unitil I saw otherwise1" Immediately, Jon and the others were rendered immobile.
