Time had elapsed and it was soon 8 o'clock. The speakers from the public announcement systems crackled to life. It was the local police department that gave the order to disperse for the day. The curfew was now in effect. All of us decided to give everyone an hour as a courtesy to get off the streets. It also gave all of us time to make our final preparations. We watched as the PEP units take out their weapons inside the mechanic shop. This was all done in full view of us. Some were taking point on the roof. Others were at the windows. It was clear that they were going to make their last stand here. I bet that some of them were going to go in and try to use the X-frames to fight with. It was time to start this conflict. I looked at the general when the clock struck 9:00. Alex was right by my side. I had spoked to him about this. "General, I may be the chief of security for the coalition and Alex here is the representative of the coalition leader, but we respect your authority here above all. You can take command and start this off." I said. He looked between us and rolled his eyes. "Fine. Get out my way."
He took a bull horn and stood in the street behind our erected barricade of cars, roadblocks and other military vehicles. "Alright. You are in violation of a lawful order to disperse for the curfew in effect. Come out and surrender right now. Failure to comply will be met with lethal force." "Do your worst humans. Conquerors won't bow to you human scum!" the leader called out from the doorway. He the slammed it closed. It was time for Paul and Brett to go in. They looked at the general and he gave them to go-ahead. Brett said "We'll clear the shop. Finding the way down is up to the commandos and researchers. Everything else that comes out way is up to the cops and syndicate members." He nodded and said "I understand. Clear out the shop and we can handle the rest." The 2 walked to the door and knocked on it. "Open it up." Paul said teasingly. There was no answer. Brett kicked in the door and there was a hail of bullets flying their way. They were both lit up, but still dove inside to engage them. It was nothing to them. We were on the outside waiting for over 9 minutes. They came out.
Paul and Brett had confirmed 5 of them killed. The 3 on the roof were shooting at them from above. We returned fire to get them to back of while they made it back to us, running their asses off for show. "The Conqueror faction is shaking right now. They sent their most deadly units to man the store. I bet more will be on the way." Paul said with a smile. "That's good. You killed 5. 3 are on the roof. Where are the last 2?" I asked. Brett shrugged. "I bet they have a nasty surprise waiting for you down there." he said. With the 3 on the roof, we needed to get a good position to snipe them. They were really good. Some of our men were already dying. I sighed and said "Looks like we have to go up there to get them. It'll take to long to establish a rival sniper's nest." I got a M19 and went in. I dove over the barricade and ran straight into the shop. I got grazed by a few bullets, but that was okay. The inside was dead silent. I could see the pools of blue blood spreading from their bodies. I looked around for a staircase up. I found it and reached for the door. It exploded. My ears were ringing. I was half health.
