"Geez, you guys are being, like, totally psycho," Steve said, holding the stone. "I wish you guys were hot, then at least you'd be easy on the eyes." He meant for his statement to be directed at just Jon, but ended up stating it to both Jon and Sarah. Big mistake. Suddenly, the stone flashed, granting Steve's wish, but it seemed to interpret his wish to mean that both Sarah and Jon were guys (boys) and both would be hot.
Imagine Sarah's mental breakdown when she looked down and saw that she now had a hunky male body, dressed in just a pair of somewhat baggy shorts. She looked over at Jon and saw that he looked the same way. She had to admit that Jon looked way better now, with his muscles and handsome looks. But Sarah was a hot boy too!
So how did this change affect everyone else? After all, they were all supposed to be "mimicking" Sarah. But Sarah wasn't a girl anymore. She was a studly guy. Did that mean that everyone affected by her original wish would start being like the new male version of her, or would they all keep on becoming more and more like the original Sarah?
