It would be up to us to make sure that all of the conflicts got smoothed out. For instance, the general and the researcher were totally against the cyborg's stated goals of bringing their progenitors here. Radiation Clan was still out there and threatening all of us for existing here in the coalition. We were going to have to stomp them out. It was not so hard as there were only so many places they could be. Wind and Void Clans also had to be appeased to keep them from trying to fuck over our progress. The officials from the government wanted all the Conqueror faction clans eliminated and oversight on everything the coalition was doing. Sonic Clan wanted Tommy back. If I was to go about every single squabble, I would be run ragged. This was not going to be easy going forward. Even more so as I was not the one in charge. When I was with the members of Sonic Clan, they did not tell me about any plans for a second coalition meeting. I had to get on the phone to call them up. The Radioactive AEP unit that we captured was locked up in the safehouse lounge. Six police officers were monitoring.
When I brought it up to the Sonic Clan leader, she said "It's far too early to call for another meeting. Nothing of note has happened yet." "What is a coalition supposed to even do now!?" I asked. There was pause on her end of the line. "We are going to pool all of our resources towards creating the XX-frames and creating a portal to bring the progenitors to the planet." "Shouldn't we gather to divide those responsibilities. We never got to do that with all of the interference with Radiation Clan. We don't want them to attack us again, so we should do it before they can regain their full strength." I argued with her. That reached her. She said "That would be the most efficient way to work this out. We will send out the invitations by the end of the day. Will you reprise your role as chief of security? You did well last time." I told her we would be there again. Like she had said, the invitation was in our inbox by the evening. I called the leaders of Void and Wind Clans. I told them about the meeting and to steer clear. If they did, PBJ Clan would leak all of the tech for them to keep in their territories. A sweet deal.
Obviously, they both accepted that. They wanted the tech to make their own portals. 2 clans against 9 would not be able to do much, but they might be able to call a little cruiser to aid them. We would be able to spawn in a whole fleet of ships. If conflict came from that, they could get annihilated. Everything was totally up to them. Since that was settled, we still had to track down the remnants of Radiation Clan. They were the biggest threat aside from a possible betrayal from the government. I still had a direct line to Marion, Nancy and Terrance. I hoped they would tell me something was going down before they had to turn their backs on me. Calling them up, I asked if they got the second invite. They all did. Terrance confirmed to me that the same members of their office and the other branches got similar invites. Now that the cyborgs had gotten the first meeting down, the humans knew that this was a serious affair. The government officials especially could not allow us to go unmonitored and without their knowledge. More people would be coming in. I wondered if we needed a bigger venue.
Setting the meeting time to be in a week was real cheeky. That would go by in a flash. Especially for those that lived far away. I was going to have to get my clan ready to be on the move again. I was going to leave both Sunny and Lucy behind to look after the new hybrids. They could not be in a fight at the moment. Everyone else was coming with us. We were going to be the security and I had to help make sure that we could secure everything. That would be a really big hit for PBJ Clan if we dropped the ball and let a guest get injured or killed during the meeting. We had the needed amount of cars to transport us. We had a lot of guns and gadgets we researched from the labs. Bringing in the X-frames would be overkill in my opinion so we would leave those in the clan building. Keeping everyone safe from outside threats was going to be easy. It was the threats from within that I was concerned with. That could totally destroy what we were building here. We decided to get there early to help Sonic Clan set up. We would be using the downstairs area this time. They still had the prisoner upstairs.
