Blake and Colby walked up to the roof minutes later. They were with Liam and his supporters. Anna thought that it was great that they were still getting along. Friendship was important. When Colby saw her, his whole face lit up. All of them came over to talk to them. They shared a hug and she kissed him on the cheek. Colby kissed Anna on the forehead. She made sure to do that to show she was with him. Everyone was waiting for the relationship to fail. Aiden offered to take her to the movies because he thought that he could seduce her away from Colby as a beta. Anna knew that, but she had no intentions of giving her boyfriend up. Anna told them about the offer to go to the movies. They were for it. Aiden had a strained smile on his face, but there was nothing he could do about it. After school, they walked over to the movie theater together as a group of 5. She thought it was good. Liam was the alpha. The twins were omegas. Anna and Aiden were the intermediaries. Aiden encouraged them both to accept the alpha-omega dynamic. Anna allowed them to voice aspirations to transcend.
Watching the movie was a massive trip for Anna. In FOG, all media not shot by Players were a big hodge-podge of stock videos back to back for 25 minutes straight. The movie was supposed to be a horror film. What that had translated to was a bunch of audio stings and jump scares featuring random people wearing scary masks. Others were making hammy "scared" faces. It was obviously over the top and dumb. Anna looked at the others to see their reaction. They were all invested in the film as NPCs here. Colby seemed to notice and leaned over. "If you're scared, you can hold me. It's okay." he said. Far from being sacred, Anna was confused and disengaged. It did not make any sense to her. Throwing her boyfriend a bone, she held his hand. Liam asked if Blake wanted to lean on him too. Blake was fine. He was having a whole lot of fun. Aiden was really scared. It seemed that his plan had totally backfired on him. When the movie was over, they all stopped in the lobby to talk about it. Anna had to pretend that she got it. When asked if she liked it, she shrugged. "It was fine." she told them.
It seemed to work. That was the second unofficial date between Anna and Colby. They did not have an official one yet. She decided to change that. "One day in the near future, we need to go out together. Just you and me. Is that okay with you?" she said. Colby blinked. He then nodded his head and said "Of course, Annie. We'll go out to eat this Saturday. Alright?" Anna was fine with that. She did have a question. "Annie!?" she asked. He rubbed his nose proudly. "Yeah. It's a nickname for you. You like it?" he said happily. "I get it. As long as I can call you B." she replied with a smirk. He actually laughed. "Yeah! I like that." Colby said. With that out of the way, they went to the dorm room to drop her off. It was a very good outing and their relationship was getting deeper. On Saturday, Colby made good on his promise to go on a solo date with her. They went back to the Chinese restaurant. He paid for her food. As they were walking around, a pair of South High delinquents got in out path. They refused to get out of the way. Colby offered to fight. Anna got involved when they all ganged up on him.
Kicking their asses was pretty cool. Colby looked at her with confusion. Anna said "I'm not going to stand by and let them jump you. Just like when you would not let me be attacked by random people." Colby said "I get it. Just make sure that you're really careful now. Being a delinquent is a man's world. Women can get really hurt here. It is not a joke" he said. She was touched that he was so concerned with her safety. The same could be said about an omega, but Anna was smart enough to not bring it up now. That would only cause problems. Anna leaned in for a kiss. Colby took the lead by pulling her closer by the waist. It was really passionate and tender. After that kiss and display, she was walked back to the dorm. Their first date was really good in her opinion. Hopefully, Colby felt the same way. Time went on and it was time to go for the rumble. She was not allowed to join in. She was set down on the sidelines with both Carly and Hannah. The freshmen were also waiting with them. It was a big 10 on 10 fight. Colby and Blake were both in the fights. Anna had to help convincing Samuel.
