Adam began to scroll through his phone, becoming more and more accustomed to navigating with the sides of his thumbs rather than the tips due to the length of his nails. He started by looking through photos on the app - lots of pretty chaste photos of his new boyfriend - cute kisses, posed photos, and held hands. Adam had to admit, his new beau was pretty cute - handsome even, although he was certain that he had not fully integrated into Jenny’s brain.
After a while and more scrolling and looking at his social media accounts, a text came in from someone named Abby. Abby asked how the trip was and Adam, without thinking, responded exactly as Jenny would have. After hitting send he smirked a bit, admiring the skills he had gotten from the IOC. As he was marveling, he began to get some memories from Jenny’s relationship with Abby.
He scrolled up in his phone and then saw a photo that she had sent. “Went prom dress shopping without you but I promise we can go back when you get home. Mom was really bugging me. How do you like this one? Does it do it for you?”
“Do it for me?” Adam muttered, slightly.
He scrolled back up to a photo that Abby had sent a few weeks ago of her in a short white party dress with her hair up. “Missed you tonight! Had to go out to the party with the rest of the team and had no one to keep me warm.”
Memories were beginning to return to him as a smile formed and grew on his face. His body became warm as he found a photo of Jenny and Abby together, Abby in a black halter top with lots of cleavage and Jenny in a matching red halter. He suddenly remembered that evening as they snuck away to a guest room and had taken each other’s pants off.
He subconsciously stroked his neckline as he found one of Jenny’s favorite photos of them, with Jenny in a white bikini and Abby in a Grey bikini with her hand between Jenny’s legs. Jenny had loved that photo because it looked so chaste but they took it just before disappearing into the pool house for a few hours.
Adam had been so caught up in his phone that he had ignored Mark and June talking.
“Are we in agreement I said.” Mark said, in a dad voice.
“Huh?” Adam asked, taking his eyes off his phone.
“I said, are we in agreement that we can’t go spending too much money right now? June no big shopping sprees and Adam, or Jenny you are going to have to be careful as well.” Mark said, authoritatively.
“Sure. Whatever.” Adam said, and then remembered. “But i’ve got fucking prom coming up. I need a dress and heels and shit for that. Jenny has a whole list.”
“Well, I guess that makes sense.” Mark said. “We would look weirder if we didn’t go out and get you set up for that. Do you know what the budget was? I don’t remember this stuff.”
Half listening, Adam also said “And guys - I think Jenny’s a lesbian. Or like bi or some shit. I’ve got these texts from a girl named Abby. Like - I have some memories that we have been more than BFF’s for a while now. “
“But don’t you have a boyfriend now?” June asked, in a motherly reaction.
“Yeah, but like, Jenny has been seeing Abby on the side mostly.” Adam said. “Like a friend w benefits? Or as I call it Frenny.”
Adam cringed a bit at that term.
“So you are not only dating the hottest guy in school but have a side piece? Good for you.” Mark said with a smirk. “That’s my girl..”
“Sure you don’t want to reconsider swapping?” Adam asked.
“Not on your life.” Mark said, looking over to his new wife.
Adam felt a bit of heat rise as he watched Mark put a hand on June’s thigh.
“Fine - fuck it. I’m going to have fun with my hot boytoy boyfriend and my hot girlfriend and you know what - I’m going to college next year. Jenny was torn between two all girl’s schools, but I think I'll be going to state. You’ll wish you had swapped back with me.” Adam said, with a smug look. “And daddy - you said there was no limit on my dress.” Adam said.
