It was then that we saw a large crowd up ahead at the top of the landing. The VIP lounge was separated by a large gate on the stairwell at the landing. It was put under guard by a PEP unit as well. To get up there, you'd have to get past him. I heard a ruckus from behind us. We stopped and looked back. An AEP unit was surrounded by other people. They did not look like they were having a good time surrounded by a squad of four lecherous young men. They were trying to woo him rather aggressively from what I could hear. When the cyborg saw me, he looked relieved and rushed over to me. "Brianne! My wonderful ally." he said as he looked at me for help. When he got to me, he wrapped me in a big hug and leaned into my ear. "Take me with you. These humans are scary. Play along." he said. "Of course, Jakie-baby! How are you doing!?" I said, returning the hug. I watched as they looked up at me. "Who's he!? Your boyfriend!? You should have said something!" one of them said. Two of them then left. The other two were a bit bolder than that. Both of them were really trashy cyberpunks.
