Being that they were all cyborgs and I was only a human, that did not make any sense to them. It was simply beyond their comprehension. The consequences they were now receiving did not line up with the projections in their heads of what would happen to them if they went along with their behavior. I did not care about that. All their calculations could go die. I looked at Luka and Lynx. "You were behaving and doing what I asked of you. I gave you your upgrades. The others were not and I ran out of time." I said. "What can Link and 04 do to get the upgrade now?" Luka asked me. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't hate them or anything. If they want to apologize to me for being rude, they can. I might install the upgrades then." I told him. Link and 04 looked at each other. Link took my hands in his. "Brianne. I want to have my sexual upgrade now. I won't mess around anymore. Forgive me." he looked just as aggressive, but he was trying. "Are you sorry for wasting everyone's time?" I asked. He just blinked at me before looking at Lynx and Luka. They nodded furiously. Link nodded at me.
I had to admit that it was pretty cute. I looked at 04. He turned away from me and pouted with his arms crossed. He clearly was not going to apologize any time soon. I looked at Link and said "Alright. I am a man of my word. It is clear that you want to show that you are sorry and promised not to do something like this again. I can forgive you, so I'll install the sexual upgrade for you right now. Let's get back to the lab." Link smirked and said "I get it. I will make sure no more time is wasted." He then picked me up and carried me into the lab. I yelped in surprise. He only set me down when he arrived at the table. "You humans are really weird." he remarked as he got on the table and laid down. I shrugged again "Who knows." I said as I opened his chest port to begin the installation. Link did not flinch or move. When I was all done with him, I looked at 04. "I'm not going to apologize to a human." he said. I crossed my arms and looked at him. "I have somewhere to be. I will leave if you do not apologize to me right now." 04's eyes widened. "You can't do that! I am right here!" he yelled. "I can." I said.
Link said "You have to do your duty, Brianne. If a clan engineer can't do their job, they are useless. Being human is not an excuse anymore." I smiled at him and said "I cannot be a totally useless human if I'm the clan engineer." 04 crossed his arms and said "Abandoning us for Advocates is pretty useless to me." If he felt that way, it was up to him. I could not argue with that. To them, I was indeed running away to play with Heat Clan members. The now angry 04 walked up to me and said "I think you should step down as engineer for your clan." Everyone in the lab was dead silent. I shook my head. "No. I am the engineer. Paul and Brett would not be much better than me at the job." I told them. It was his turn to shake his head. "Any cyborg that wants to be the new clan engineer could do a better job." I scoffed and said "You cannot be serious. That position is taken. This is a matter for PBJ Clan and not you." 04 allowed the shotguns in both his arms to appear. His golden memory nanite cards granted him a big bonus to all his weapon damage, speed and agility. "I will fight you for it." he said.
