07-007 scoffed. "Of course I did. It was too late though. We had to put him down. Our medicine drop off doesn't come for 3 more days!" he shot back. Furious, he moved on. "Sorry about that. He doesn't see all of the good that humans can be yet. He's new. There has been a lot of banditry going on. Neo-Rutten is the biggest city nearby. Something might be going on there that's causing unrest." 07-001 apologized. Zayne shrugged. "Doesn't bother me. If someone out there killed one of my clanmates, I'd be pissed off too." he said. "I think so too. I know the Electric hub is for Advocates. You just have to keep going." The AEP unit narrowed his eyes at us. "Who are you guys!? You shouldn't know about the factions!" he accused. I said "We are from the PBJ Clan in Dwan Town. "We get transmission from you guys all the time! Nice finally seeing you. We were both too preoccupied to put it together yet. We'll switch over some duties and get you back to your clan building. It might take us time to find the time to take you though. The greatest priority we have is keeping Relámpago safe." He said.
Getting home was as simple as borrowing one of their vehicles. Two of their PEP units would come with us to take it back. I found that admirable. The compound was in good hands. We made our way to the road. We had to go kill lots of things in the way to get there. Once on the road, it was easy to make our way over to Dwan Town. A few hours were all it took. The path was already established. "I can't believe an AEP unit like us was so negligent as to be captured and mined for data. I guess we'll need to prepare for more attacks." 07-003 said over the roar of the engine. He was totally right about that. Tommy was being stubborn when the commandos came in the bank. It did not need to happen. The Toxic AEP was an enemy that should have been killed. We would have done it ourselves if that would not put Tommy in even more danger. Once we were there, we thanked him. "Don't mention it. It was actually... really nice to look around and get out the area for a bit." 07-005 said with a wry smile before looking back at his human compatriots. It seemed AEPs could suffer from low morale.
07-003 and 07-005
He then got back in the ATV and they went back the way they came. At least they would be safe on the way back to their compound. I looked at the PEA unit we saved. I said "It's time to talk. Who are you and why did those guys try to take you earlier!?" She sighed and pulled out a broken PDA. I recently hacked a police station database in Light City and found the details on a holding facility the humans have." This had to be the lead we were all looking for! "What did you find!?" I demanded. She looked at the PDA and frowned. "Apparently they moved two AEP units somewhere deep in one of them. I downloaded all the data, but it was destroyed in all the commotion. I did not get to read the data yet." she said. 02 snatched the PDA from her. "Give it to me!" he yelled. She flinched but did not do anything. AEP units far outranked PEA units. 02 dripped some nanites from his fingers onto the device. Some of them fixed the broken screen while others went into the USB port. A few seconds passed before it began to boot up again. With his chest port, 02 could plug into it and get the data from it.
