Everyone looked at me. I smiled. "They are a bank. They have more money than any other faction. That gives them power, but it also nails them down." I said. "How does it do that?" Nancy asked me. "They have to act like a real bank because they are a real bank. What would happen if some rival AEP units wandered in and wanted to make a bank account? What would happen if someone tried to rob the bank? If we put them to the test, we might get see a crack in their armor." I said. "You want to rob a bank!?" Terrance asked, shaking his head in disapproval. "No. We get an undercover cop to pass a note saying to hand over the money. I want to see what will happen with that. One of you can stay with me and monitor the situation while the others help the Sonic AEPs. How about it?" I finished my proposal. Now that it was on the floor for discussion, they had to consider it. "Where are we going to get the money to make new accounts?" Terrance said. "I got that covered." I said. I was rich. "And the cop!? What happens when someone calls the cops on them!?" Nancy demanded.
Very easy. "You three are the main investigators. Pull strings at the police department to ensure they know not to respond to any call for a robbery that day. Say that it is a undercover mission." I said. "You really think we are that high up on the food chain?" Marion asked with a wry smile. I deflated. "You are, right? At least to get a delayed response?" I begged. Terrance rolled his eyes. "If it was in Quantum City, maybe it would work. I have lots of favors there in the department. Here? No." he said with a serious look on his face. "Fuck!" I snapped. He chuckled. "Hey now. I get the gist of what you want. We don't have the clout to stop them, but we are allowed to make arrests too. We can pull rank once they show up." I sighed. "Okay. So I go in with them while you monitor from outside. If the police are called, you can come in and investigate personally." I conceded. It was important to cut your loses and quit while you were ahead. Timmy said "We are Sonic Clan. Tommy can jam their signal using his organ." Tommy blushed and said "I guess I can if it's needed." That was great.
Marion said "Let's hammer this out. We take a van, park it a block away and monitor the situation from there. The Sonic Clan cyborgs jam the cell signal from inside while they go in to make an account with Brianne. We put a nice wire on him to get whatever we can.
