We were not going to let him fuck this up. 02 stomped off down the hall. I did notice that he stopped and leaned next to the wall. His eyes were closed and he was taking a stand offish pose, but I could tell he wanted to hear what was going on. Brett was going to make fun of him, but I tapped him on the arm. He turned to me and I shook my head. "02 made his opinion clear already. But we are doing this." I said out loud. Brett sighed and shrugged his shoulders. Paul did not care. He had his own plan that he was enacting. He decided to reach out to Erosion Clan for a similar play against Water Clan. Brett said he was going to look for Beau and the other two investigators that were still snooping around Cold Clan. Brett wanted to take them out. If that was what they wanted to do, that was fine with me. It was not like I asked for permission to do my plan. I looked at the Sonic AEPs and apologized to them. 02 sucked his teeth when he hear me say sorry, but there was nothing that he could do. They were gracious. It was time to take them down to the AEP lab. There was much to do.
Access to hardware and weapons was one thing, but no clan engineers had high enough stats to clear the tech trees like I could. That meant that our lab was still the best in the continent. Aside from Erosion Clan, there was no other place to get golden memory nanites either. The PEA units living in Erosion Clan originally came from a small corner of our PEA lab as well. As a sign of good faith, we allowed them to get filled up with the golden nanites and acquire the golden memory cards to boost up three certain skill. With the remaining nanites, they were able to replace their original organs. They all had large speakers like 02. The Sonic AEPs could also download any weapons they wanted from the lab. They all choose the plasma cannons and bolt action rifles. Timmy and Temmy had their organ in their chest. To accommodate for the large, gold plasma cannon, they put it on their stomach. The rifle was cool in that the slot to enter the bullet was in their right lateral tricep muscle and the gold barrel was in their palm. Tammy had the inverse with the rifle in his left arm. Tommy was different.
Tommy had his organs in his palms. That meant that the rifle could not go there. He put the plasma cannon in his throat so he could fire it out of his mouth. This made it smaller, but more concentrated. Because they were made with golden nanites, they were already twice as powerful as the standard ones. Being more concentrated gave it another 50% bonus to damage while reducing the range by half. This thing was possibly the most deadly naturally occurring weapon in the game. There was still the matter of where to put the rifle. Tommy decided to put it in his lower back. Unlike the others, the slot to feed the bullets would appear on the left side of his neck. The gold bullets could be spit out using their nanites from any of the AEP units mouths. They were now a much deadlier force than when they had came to us. I looked at them and told them that they had to change their appearance if they were going to come along with us. The Red Grind was not the place for their uniforms. It was a club not an academy. I had an idea of what they could wear. I showed it to them and they all agreed.
