Jon sauntered downstairs to find Biff and his little brother Brad eating breakfast.
“Morning boys,” smiled Jon heading to the fridge to get some fat free Greek yogurt.
“Morning mom,” grinned Brad through a mouthful of Fruit Loops.
“Uh, morning,” blushed Biff, trying to avoid making eye contact.
Jon smiled and meant over the breakfast bar to give each of his new stepsons a kiss on the cheek.
“Mooooom,” giggled Brad, while Biff just blushed. Jon smiled at Biff’s discomfort, not sure if it was the old him or the new him that relished messing with Biff.
“Now go get dressed,” he said to Brad “It’s time we were getting you to school.” The younger boy let out a long ‘Awwww’ but slurped the milk from his cereal bowl and hurried off to get changed. Watching him go, Jon rested his chin on one hand and looked at Biff. Biff’s eyes darted to Jon’s chest and then quickly away and he squirmed in his seat.
“I, Uh, I gotta go, Uh school,” mumbled Biff, red as a beat.
“Aren’t you gonna give your mommy a kiss first?”
Biff went redder, but complied, leaning over to give Jon a peck on the cheek, then hurried off. Jon purses his lips, watching him go and when he was sure he was out of earshot burst out laughing.
“Ready mom,” called a voice, followed by the sound of Brad running down the stairs. Jon smiled and grabbed his keys, heading for his convertible.
