Anna jumped backwards, onto the cold hard floor.
She began crawling away little by little, hands reaching out for not only her body for her identity, her very existence.
"MUST BE ANNA. STOP BEING SO DAMN SELFISH AND SHARE YOURSELF! LET US HAVE WHAT WE WANT. LET US BE ANNA!"
The voices were positively ravenous.
She inched back, but they reached out closer. Alex's hand swerved into her necking, gripping around it.
He started to pull her forward, his lips poised to smooch with hers as if to suck the very essence of Anna out of her and spread it onto himself.
She kicked him back and darted back up, running the opposite direction. However her hope was soon dashed.
"WILL.BECOME.ANNA!"
A crowd in the opposite direction ran towards her. Katie and Alex hungered closer and closer. The crowd on the opposite side closed on, there was nowhere to run on either side. Just than and there, she head a whisper from nearby. "PPPppst, grab my hand! Quickly!"
A hand from an alleyway in the wall grabbed onto her and pulled her away from the masses. She ran with a mysterious figure for almost a minute before running into the interior of the mall. Shipping equipment and offices lay inside. The figure locked the door on an office quickly, ignoring the banging against it and continued to hurry.
When Anna finally laid eyes on the figure, she wondered if maybe there was hope for her yet.
