"Do you have ANY idea what you've done this time?" Principal Walton yelled. In a cluttered office with faux motivational posters and folders left dangling around, a 49 year old Administrator and a teenage delinquent sat on opposite sides of a plastic desk.
"Oh I don't know. Defaced a school statue of a treasured founder and mascot? Made a mockery of a public effigy? If it's that than yeah I think I know." Zach said smugly.
The principal slammed his desk. "Don't get smart with me young mister! You have absolutely no respect for this schools traditions. I don't care this time what your reasons are!"
"I couldn't care less what my reasons are, defacing this school is kind of my tradition isn't it? Come on Prince we've done this song and dance more times than there are hairs left on your head." The boy quipped, hands folded behind his head.
"Everything you do causes chaos! Are you listening to me, how can you be so self-satisfied with tearing this school apart? Take some responsibility, you ARROGANT little miscreant!"
Zach smirked. A slight aqua glow that only he could see formed around his hands, and than he knew. This was his "Condition." Was it getting others mad at him, or just drawing some kind of strong emotion? Whatever the case, it didn't matter.
"Because Prince, yesterdays a ghost and tomorrow won't matter. But in a moment, neither will you." He held his hands up, with a grin on his face and concentrated all his power onto the authority figure. It felt as if he could access a portal into his targets mind, or rather their past. Countless branches of the past and connections through time went in every direction through the portal, each connected to different memories and relations that Zach could see vividly and mystically. With a slight twitch of his fingers, he reached out and closed a metaphysical artery within one of these branches. It was the branch pertaining to every "Encounter" and sit in here that Walton had experienced. The memories remained, but the feelings, relation and symbolic connections had been instantly closed, as if part of his past had simply been "Shut off", or rather Frozen in time.
One thing was for certain. Zach would be getting out of detention without a hitch.
