Sharon couldn't believe what she had just seen, before her very eyes the dolls had surrounded the new tomboy and started caressing her while expelling some thick pink smoke over here, she could hardly see what had happened through the bodies of the other two intervening dolls, but when they had finally moved gone was the tomboy and in her place was another smiling pink doll! The new doll turned to them, arms held out and the same placid smile on her face that matched the other dolls perfectly. The human was clearly gone and in her place was a toy made of plastic.
"It's time to play!" the new doll called out in a singsong voice, arms held out as she began to walk towards the six remaining humans. Walk wasn't the right word, it was more of an over joyous skip, arms held out straight and her pink ringlet hair bouncing as she did. Wordlessly the other dolls all held their arms out and advanced as well. There was a split second hesitation as the dolls charged. 'Maybe they can't cross the threshold they were guarding?' Sharon had time to think before the newest doll happily skipped across and headed right at her.
It was panic, everyone turned at once, rushing back toward the entrance of the bizarre store as fast as they could run, behind them seven dolls all gave chase, smiling and giggling as if it were a game of tag. The faster ones of the group quickly outpaced the slower as the chase wore on, Sharron found herself slipping farther and farther behind the more athletic types such as Clyde and Sherman. The dolls were quickly catching up, but Sharon knew she was close to the entrance, just one more turn and...
The entrance was blocked. Not simply closed, no, but a brick wall had been built in front of it, no not a simple wall, it was a castle, there was a twelve foot drawbridge, towers, and ramparts, it looked nothing like the entrance they had come through, but there's no way you could make a castle appear, was there? The group slowed as it neared the open drawbridge, should they enter? Or should they risk running deeper into the store?
