Genie, in a strange way, could feel Minerva touch her lamp as if it was her own skin. It electrified her, and forced her right out the Lamp's spout, back into the world and standing between two sisters - Minerva and Lillynette - who each held Genie's lamp.
"Oh greetings, Master, I am the Genie of the Lamp. For freeing me I shall grant you five wishes that your heart desires." Genie said with a bow. Strangely, though, neither sister looked at her, preferring instead to stare at each other.
"It's my lamp and she's my Genie!" Lily said angrily.
"You're just a kid! And kid's can't be a Genie's Master!"
"Actually, Masters, since you both freed me, I shall grant ea --" Genie started, but neither Master paid much attention to her.
"Says who! Did your stupid books say that?" Lily said, putting the whole of her strength, such as it was, into keeping a hold on the golden lamp.
"Says me!"
Once again, Genie was interrupted. "That's stupid," Lily said, "and I wish --"
Hearing her sister start to wish made Minerva's eyes go wide and she turned to Genie quickly and started to make a wish of her own . . .
