"Genie is a funny name! That's funny, you're funny!" The young specimen chuckled, running carefree around Genie in playful loops, spinning back and forth fruitlessly trying to catch hold of her form.
"Is it, a funny name? I can be called another if you wish, Master." That sentient collection of gas composed herself in front of the small human child the best it could, taking in her energetic nature. This nature owing to her age and naturally upbeat deposition charged through Lilynette, 7 years of age and (former) daughter of the deadbeat Joseph Dell, his only sired and quickly abandoned child. Coursing with bubbly affluence and a gracefully apologetic demeanor, the kindly blond bowed her head for a moment, poking her cheek before perking up again curtly and giving a brazen smile.
"Master?!? I'm not Master, my name is Lily! Call me Lily, silly!" She ordered nonchalantly.
Genie nodded and complied. "If that is what you wish m- err, Lily, that is what you shall be to me." A part of her felt raw with unease at this innocuous request, owing to her forced Genie nature that compelled the word 'master' to be natural to her lips.
"Sooo, Genie is it? What were you doing up here in this old lamp anyway. Kinda silly don'cha think? How did you even sleep or eat there, huh huh hmmmp huh?" The plucky blond tilted her head back and forth with practically each syllabi uttered, swishing her pigtails thru and fro like a swingset. Genie swallowed hard.
It wasn't just that her memories were somewhat obscured and repressed in Genie's mind, but owing to the fact that this new 'Master' was rather, untypical for what Genie was use too. Without malice or a sense of her own impudence, how could Genie effectively serve a cheeky broad like this? Whether she brought the girl to harm, or Lily brought the Genie to further struggle through her blind bold actions it wouldn't rest easily on Genie's conscience. Nevertheless, she was Genie, and Genie's purpose was to serve and obey.
"I was trapped there long ago as a powerful magician, but only temporarily freed by an old women who I granted wishes for. Once she used up her wishes, I was sealed back in here. I thought I'd be lent to Joseph or Mary, but it seems fate has chosen a different course of events for me." Genie stated, trying to be as clear as possible despite straining to remember the details of either encounter on the outside world.
Swinging harms throbbed from side to side with a certain curiosity at this revelation, before being put together behind their owner's back. "Hmmhm. Mmmh."
"..." If Genie could sweat, she would've than and there. Was this child old enough to understand her words, the implications of her tale and how the human was now her master? The bright-eyed glimmer in the child's eyes gave Genie hope, but it was mistaken. Rather than the wide-eyed glint of intelligence she sought, it was only that of endless amusement and mellow proactivity.
"That's cool I guess. Do you wanna play later?" Lily stated simply.
Genie sighed. The human didn't even phrase her request as a wish, this could get complicated she quickly internalized.
"Lilllllllllly! Come get your dumb trash off the couch!" A raucous voice rang out from below.
Lilynette swallowed and froze up suddenly. "Uh oh... It's sister."
