John wiped a whiff of sweat from his cheek and caught his breath.
"If I'm the one that took care of it, why are you the one sweating?" The strange girl who'd saved John's live teased. He stuttered something, but she reached out her hand and told him it was time to go.
"Come on, never know when 'she' might open another one of those. Are there any places we can go where there won't be a lot of students or staff from this school? Like say, a restaurant?"
John tugged his shirt, still breathing heavily. "Why, do we need to escape from these things again or what?"
The blue-haired crusader shrugged, "Well yeah, that, and I'm hungry."
Owing to her comment, a boy she'd saved gave her a strange look. "You're not from around here are you?"
Carol merely smiled.
"I might know a place. But you better start explaining a few things!" John demanded.
"Much obliged." She replied, putting two hands in her pockets and telling him to lead the way.
