Wham!
Without hesitation, Carol thrashed the lawnmower onto the creature's head, sending it flying a couple feet. As soon as it hit the damp ground it struggled to rebound and rise, only to meet the hard press of a sneaker.
Carol stuck out her hand and charged some kind of blue energy.
"WAIT! Don't, you cannot just! I mean, isn't that guy still human inside?" John yelled.
Carol shook her head dismissively, speaking with a tone of regret. "Sadly not. Once a person's been oversouled, they're gone. No way to bring them back. I have to destroy it!" Her hand grew brighter. She pressed her foot even harder as the creature began to struggle more, it's elongated petite arms barely reaching out to Carol.
"This, t-this is wrong..." John muttered.
A bright flash went out and the creature stopped moving.
