"H-help guys! HELP!" Wendy shouted, to everyone's indifference. Clyde rushed in to help, pushing past the two other strange identical women attempting to block him off. He struggled to pull Wendy out of the women's grasp, like a mother refusing to let go of their own child.
"Oh dear, quite the predicament." Mimi sighed, considering going to help out but ultimately not doing so.
"She's got to be the lamest duck in the pond." Sharon said, barely able to hold herself back from laughing.
"A chipper catch isn't she?" Bernadette noted, fixing her updo hair slightly and wandering what quip she'd come at Wendy with when she finally broke free.
This went on for nearly a minute before a trumpeting sound went off, causing the 3 women to back off of Wendy and Clyde, marching backwards almost mechanically and saluting. As they gathered back with the rest, completing the winners circle at last, the lights flickered. Mimi rolled her eyes and saw the gate's slowly perk open, widening just enough that the sound of marching steps could be heard from afar.
"How tedious. Well, here we go..." Mimi sighed, rolling her eyes and covering her mouth.
