The changing shop, a sentient and logic warping establishment, was rather unique in that it sold everything, any possible item that was ever sold, marketed, bought or owned was potentially in it's possession. However with so many theoretical items it needed a fair amount of loyal customers.
Originally it did this by simple hopping through space/time and finding an audience of people to buy the appropriate products, but that was tiring. So it came up with another plan, and forevermore implements it while conducting daily business.
It would limit itself to specific groups and customers, no matter what gender,age,race,stereotype or focus group and change 'Them' to be proper purchasing material. Altering itself to be any store it wants per day or even hour, every time it appeared in front of any newcomers, it's own power would begin changing them into ideal customers before they left, guarantee, and than kindly let them leave. Sometimes it would indue in it's patient participants a desire to show others the store and have their friends and family buy their as well, which would cause similar effects to any second-hand attractors.
For example, a mother not into sporting equipment might be re-made, becoming a perfectly ideal jocky, exercise prone fit housewife, who'd than show her friends and family to the store to make them follow suit.
By altering anyone that came inside, the shop could ensure it'd have an unlimited supply of happy satisfied consumer base(s), which was importance since it needed that. The more people that bought from it, the more powerful it was, and without any purchases it would inevitably starve and 'die'.
