When Rain opened her eyes, she saw the world through whole new lights. Literally, an ambient glow fogged her vision upon trying to see. Once the blurred light and tense filter finally obscured enough of her vision, she could see again, but not like she had, not who she had. Staring ahead of her was the same fog, making a glowing trail in front of her, and turning around it continued right behind.
When she finally got around staring at the apparition trail, the next sight she saw confused her most of all. Standing in front of her, was herself! Rain in the flesh, gothy getup and all. She bent slightly, feeling a pressure holding her back. It wasn't hard to surmise what it was, seeing Leon grasping his arms around her.
She turned around, feeling the pretty pigtails atop her head and mini-skirt swish just enough to confirm her suspicions. Yet, when she looked upon herself or what she could, she saw only 'herself', as she'd always been.
"R-Rain? Did it work? Come on, say something." Leon asked in his usual gruff voice.
Outside of Hailey's lips, they let loose cryptic soft spoken "April showers bring May flowers." Leon smiled, and nuzzled Hailey's cheek affectionately.
However to his surprise the still staring Rain moved in place, facing Hailey once more. "But May's Gloom brings teary eye'd rain in June." She responded.
Rain and 'Hailey' stared each other down confused, although Rain's face showed a hint of delight, almost anticipation. They slowly reached their hands out and touched palms, laughing slightly. 'Hailey' yawned, and told them she better get going, striding in mockery, feeling up the masses and curves of her body in fledgling curiosity. After a short walk, Rain finally felt her concentration loosen, and though she could see Hailey's trail still, the world blurred in a flash once more.
And just as soon as she had left herself, she was right as Rain again.
