Maron dialed the desired numbers on her homephone and waited diligently until Mel picked up.
"You get your duds yet Bloody Mary?" He asked.
"Yerp. I got switchy-glitchy life stuff." She replied.
"Cool. Test it out?"
"Duh. Junkyward in 20?"
"Junkyards a little dangerous. 'Bout the local Coffee shop?" Mel insisted.
"The one for lonely old ladies and weirdos? Sounds fantastic." Maron confirmed.
"Cannot wait, cya there." He told her, hanging up and grabbing his coat jacket.
"Where are you going this late?" His mother asked, handling his fussy toddler sister Winifred.
"She-Mare wants to do some late night track laps. You know how she is about exercise. It'll be umm, good for me." Mel zipped up his jacket and started making way towards the door.
"Did you finish your History Essay?" She asked.
"Yeah. Turned it in early, got an A+. On my dresser if you want to see, later."
With a shrug and fussy daughter to deal with, Mrs.Foreman conceded.
"Okay, just be back by 10:30 tonight. And tell her to stop by sometime for a real meal, rather than eating and subsisting off those garbage Energy Bars."
"Okay, will do." Mel said, shutting the door and leaving.
