The darling starlet Rain gleamed as she was enchanted. Her dyed hair tied up about a neon beanie-bag chair as she quietly painted a sunflower on a canvas, listening to the explanation for her ability all the while.
"What a beautifully delicate seed of potential you are. 'Shining', that's what you'll use to match wits with others. Likely the most direct, and yet effective ability for use, you will quite literally just govern the actions of others as 'Yourself'. With a simple focus on their shoulder, shin, or forehead, their 'Time' will be yours temporarily. Taking their body and partially their mind during that time, you'll steer their actions, divorced from your own perception, and anything you do will follow suit naturally, as if it was always meant to be. To be blunt one might think of it as possession, but crude explanation aside, it's a gentle dance. A graceful pivot into another's inner sanctum. I trust you'll do magnificently, painting over people's lives with your own."
"Oh. That's nice I suppose." Rain sprayed some gloss on her canvas and relaxed back in her chair, taking out the scrunchies tying up her hair and letting it flow freely. It glowed with a new sheen, shifting with the power needed to protect her heart and spirit.
"And since you seem very selfless and lack investment in material possession, it'd be too wasteful to put your protection in mere paintings, trinkets or garments. Instead, your Requiem will be the beauty you espouse attached to yourself, represented in your hair. Take good care of it."
A knock on the bottom floor soon followed, and putting on her fuzzy Sandals, Rain tiptoed her way downstairs to receive it.
