"First of all where am I, and what did you do to my son?" Ms. Olive demanded to know.

The Imp sighed and snapped it's fingers, creating a comfortable chair for Olive to sit in. "Have a seat, I'll try explain the best I can." She sat down and made herself welcomed, than patiently listened to his story, if nervously.

"You're in Otherworld, the world of Imps and some other magical or extra-dimensional creatures. All of my kind live here, or atleast stop here now and then when they're not wrecking things up on earth or up to mischief in other worlds. But here's where we are." Ms. Olive nodded her head, trying to comprehend.
"My race, "Imps' as the ancients called us, although we have many forms and names that you humans recognize as Fay, Elves, and probably most of your mythological pantheon. What we are specifically isn't important, other than that compared to Humans we are very powerful and editing or adjusting reality is as simple as making sentences for you humans. Anyway, we take many different forms, but most of us are rather maligant, or atleast mischievous. I consider myself an exception atleast in comparison. I'm what you would call a "Wishing Imp", for lack of a better or more creative title. There are many of our kind that grant wishes, like Djinn, Genies, sometimes Leprechauns. Anyway my specific type or 'species' if you could even call it that is special. We're like those wishgranting ones but so specialized humans haven't even given us a fancy title or name yet."

The wrecked teacher listened with apprehension, twiddling her fingers. "What's so special about you?" She inquired.

"Well, unlike other creatures which either grant Wishes because it's fun, or they're cursed, enslaved or forced to my kind NEEDS to grant wishes. Because it's literally our substance. We feed on human desire and intent, and without granting wishes we'd die, straight up starve."

"I think I get the idea. So than what does this have to do with me?" She asked.

"You are my one hope, if we want to fix anything undone so far. You are the most gracious and humble person I've sensed, you have no true desire other than to teach or 'be.' The effects you've seen, like you've witnessed on your son, are the result of a careless and selfish wish. Therefore, I'm granting you leisure as my new master. You yourself must take the chore of fixing it and undoing this catastrophe."

"Me? Why me, I haven't done anything, why do I have to be apart of this!" She whined, shaking her head and backing up off her chair which vanished.

"Quit your blubbering, I literally just explained why you goody two-shoes. Anyway do you want your son aback to normal or not? You're the only one that can fix him afterall."

Like a light-switch, all of Ms. Olive's hesitations and doubt quickly disappeared from her mind, and her decision was obvious. With new found assurance in her eyes, she put all her uncertainty away and spoke simply.

"I'll do it."

"Atta girl." The Imp replied in it's roughish voice. It shook her hand with it's tiny one.

"Please, call me Pamela, no just Pam will do." She requested, as a suddenly light began to intensify from their handshake.

It smiled devilishly. "Sure thing toots."
