John's mother worked at a local store in retail and was a devoted mother, but suddenly she was wearing what seemed to be a combination of business casual and church wear. Her smooth pencil skirt, her business dress, the black tights and keen makeup she wore were very unlike her. Very professional, one could say almost, proper? It wasn't something a mere housemom and casual employer was often seen wearing, much to John's surprise.
"Please pass the Potato salad Elaine sweetie." She asked her daughter.
"Of course mother. And if you wouldn't mind, refer to me as Ellen" 'Ellen' replied, handing it over to her as her clothes became slightly tighter and more tidy on her body.
