As the family all sat together, John's sister received odd looks as their parents noticed her change in behavior. It was slight, but noticeable. She hadn't started eating or insulted anyone before prayer, she eat with her silverware instead of picking at her food or groaning at the meal. She didn't even make sassy or rude remarks when the other family members tried to talk, but this lead to a rather quick silence. Looking around the table, Elaine herself was the first to be estranged from her family.
"What? Why are you all looking at me like that? Geesh, bunch of weirdos."
John coughed. Weirdos was the least threatening name she'd ever called somebody, and now she was merely ignoring them and trying to eat her meal. John supposed this must have been an effect of the wish, taking away parts of her volatile personality and adjusting to for a more agreeable one. As he smiled and tried to steer the conversation, the cute furry creature, invisible to all but him sat next to his arm and scratched it's ears. It sniffed John's plate but almost belched in disgust. But looking at Elaine, It'd have it's own appetizer soon enough. With a twirl of it's ears, another slight flash went off and John rubbed his eyes to the commotion as reality shifted suddenly.
