"One minute..." she said.
"There are people around you. Can't your friends wait until tomorrow?"
Alexis looked around and rolled her eyes dismissively. It wasn't as if she hated her family, but there was always something going on, and she couldn't miss it. "You just wouldn't understand."
Scott was regretting buying her the phone in the first place. But it wasn't as if she didn't get her schoolwork done, or do her housework...she just stopped frequently, and complained. "I just want to eat..." he said.
