But, even if it failed, the principles were so revolutionary, he would be able to build on it. It created what he called a quantum inversion field, and thus, he called it the...inverter.
He wasn't sure how exactly it would work on a living person, but it hadn't harmed the rat he'd tried it on, and science was all about taking risks. It was a square box with a single button on it, with an arrow indicating where to aim.
He tightened the screws and headed out to a local shopping district. He waited till he spotted someone walking alone, aimed, and pressed the button.
