Brett met us on the opposite side of town. Because it was just a couple of PEA units, we did not make anything grand. It was a small juice bar. In the back room was a trapdoor that led to the clan building. They had a main hall, a PEP lab and a PEA lab. For flair, I had Brett add a koi pond and pagoda. That was an actual garden setting for the space. I told them that Skylar would give them the installation surgery. "I don't want that shrimp touching me here. You do it for us." he said. I sighed and went down to the PEA lab with them. I did the procedure with Brett giving me the instructions out loud. It was a success. They would have a 0% chance of making chips until they reached their 15th mission success though. But at least they had the black memory nanites now. I popped in the PEP lab to see what X-frame blueprints they got. It was the 04M and 04F models. The same thing happened to ours. Since this was the Cold transmission hub, those were the only blueprints it would give. But now, it was a twice as rare drop and the cost rose by 5 times. They only wanted Cold Clan to have them.
It made no difference to Brett and I. We had infinite money and resources. We just gave them everything they needed for 2 sets of each model. Not only that, we gave them the sexual upgrades for the X-frames so that they all could fuck and make AEP units. I laughed as their eyes went wide. This should not be possible, and yet it was happening right before their eyes. All they needed to do was find 4 PEP units to join their clan. That was actually harder and harder to do. Dwan Town had 3 clans and the chief of police was also a PEP unit. They honestly might need to go to Micropolis or Neo-Rutten for recruiting. Brett gave them a black sedan with purple tinted windows and neon lights under it. I asked where he got it as I did not see him spawn it in. "I won it in a drag race. Totally easy. I took the pink slip and kept it at my house in town with my girlfriend." I did not know that. Stretch and Sky were happy to have it. They went to Micropolis right away. I told them to stop at the guild. "Chad can put the message out. Let them come to you. We don't want you caught in some sting." I warned.
They left and Brett went back to his girlfriend. I shrugged. I hoped things went well. I had to stroke a whole lot of egos when I got back to the clan building. The PEA units were all pissed off and felt cheated of a chance to show their skills to the whole region. After the week limit was done, Stretch and Sky got the reward. It was that their clan got the blueprints to the 04Mx model. That was a really big deal. They had found 2 mid-tier units to join their clan in Micropolis. They would greatly benefit from the new models. I hear that they were going to call their clan Shrimp Killer Clan. I could see that the newly brewing rivalry between Sky and Skylar was not going away anytime soon. Skylar was furious when he heard the news. Cold Clan did not say anything to us about it. Using my guild channels, Nancy, Marion and Terrance had in fact moved on. They also got another 3 to join them. That did mean that 3 were still on the case. However, the 3 were working on Toxic Clan. They could not just go on my word. They had to figure a way to get into the inner workings of the bank. That was good.
