We had become the target for three separate clans. Water and Toxic Clans had attacked us explicitly due to their hatred of humans in PEP clans. Before they all split up, they put out a huge bounty on our head. Pierce Clan was the one closest to us in terns of distance. Because they took the bounty, it was an instant hostile encounter on sight. We could not go eastward by road without getting attacked. If we wanted any modicum of peace or revenge for what happened, we were going to need to take them out. The question was what order would we need to take them out in. I had my guild research information. We had no clue where Pierce Clan was. That was very important. We knew the location of Water and Toxic Clans. They owned a water park and a bank respectively. We could hit either of those at any time given enough preparation. Not only could we go on a massive heist, but we could also take over the hubs and turn it over to the Researchers faction. It had to be a clan undertaking. I learned that you needed much more than 1 AEP to hack the hub and change alignment.
Doing everything was too much strain on just 1 of them. PEA units could do it in a pinch, but it would just kill them without fail. It did not matter how much of them were hacking in. We had AEP 12 units. Ava, Caleb and Cameron were all going to be with Paul, Bret and I for the actual heist. Our PEP units would be on support by watching the skies and engaging the police and Toxic Clan operatives in their X-frames. I had our 3 PEA units driving the getaway vans. None of us had the skill to drive a van with cops chasing us halfway across the continent. The guild building was where we would be laying low after it was done. It had an armory to fight and a lounge for us all to relax in. Now was a good a time to start. Paul was getting impatient with no real opportunities to fight. Brett took on the army by himself with some of the Erosion Clan members. Skylar and I was brought to the sand garden for the meeting to determine the first target. We were officer after all, so we had a say. Officers needed to vote on it to get all the clan on board on any major agenda. Skylar did not want war. It was 3 on 1.
Preparing for it took a while. We had to get all the parts ready. The getaway vans and the motorcycles that the others would be using to track all of the government's big movements had to be armored up and ready to go. The vans were going to take us to the guild building in several routes depending on the pushback by the government goons on our tail. Those on the cycles would be helping to pick off those that follow us. The X-frames were to buy time at the bank to hack the X-frame. We needed a clear picture of the layout of the bank. We sent Amp and Arc to film discreetly as they made new accounts at that bank. Now that they were millionaires, they were taken down to the bank vaults. They did not have any hard assets for the main vault, but they were able to film it nonetheless. It was a success. While we were planning this all out, we got a visit from Toxic Clan. They had heard of our plans from the "grapevine". Basically, all of the PEP units in the guild that were not in PBJ Clan snitched on us and told the Cold Clan leadership. Cold Clan told Void Clan. Void Clan then told Toxic Clan.
That really sucked. A guild purge was going to have to take place before we could do any scheming that was not in Cold Clan's best interest. Now that Toxic Clan knew what we were doing, they bumped up security and added anti-cyborg measure to make it impossible for us to get the rest of our clan down there to get the transmission hub. That had to be a sign of them being scared. Nothing had happened this whole time. After the instigators 10-001 and 05-001 died, they just assumed that everything was water under the bridge with us. Now, they were both confused as to why we had not let it go yet. It was pretty frustrating to hear that shit coming from them. 10-002 was on a bounty mission. I had no clue who put the bounty on us, but it had to be someone that we had bad blood with. While the hit was still up, opportunistic PEP, PEA and AEP units would try killing us. It was not just Paul, Brett and I in the crosshairs. The humans in the guild and Clan Ghost all had bounties too. None of theirs were as high as ours were, but none were as hard to kill as us either. They were actual Devils here.
