I took a moment to catch my breath. When I was really, I said "Let's go. We have to get you to the transmission hub." Link and Lynx were still on the ground. We had to pick them up and help them move. Paul just gave them both some more HP. With it, they were fine and could stand and move on their own. I started down the hallway. It had been long enough of a head start for the enemy to act. We had to stop them before it was too late. When we got to the end of the long hallway and made a few turns, we saw everything enveloped in a bright green glow. It was the hub. All that was there was a long metal bridge. At the end, the transmission hub was waiting. We crossed the bridge and saw that 05-003 and 004 were already plugged into the hub, sitting against it. They were both were connected by a thin red wire. Paul went over to roughly yank them out of the hub. We could see that the main interface monitor was on. There was a progress bar on the screen. It was stuck at 70%. We had actually gotten there in time to stop them. Luka stopped Paul by grabbing his arm roughly. He stopped.

Paul just looked at the AEP unit. "What are you doing? They are hacking the transmission hub. We have to do something." "If you rip them out like that they will die. The hub might get damaged as well." Link said. "So, we have no option but hope they fail to take the hub!? This sucks." I responded. With that being the case, all we could do was wait. If more enemies came, it was our job to kill them all and protect my allies from harm. The bridge and stairwell were both empty. All of the chaos upstairs was working. It took them 10 minutes from the point we got there for everything to go to shit for them. The monitor said there was a major error. It seemed that there was simply not enough for them to overcome all the firewall protection of the transmission hub. They would need to start over. It seemed that you needed at least 3 of them to change the hubs over. With 05-002 dead, there was nothing that they could do as Conquerors. That was before 102 revealed himself. "I won't allow this mission to fail. I'll join you this time." he said as he pressed his hand on the terminal. It turned the area white.

Unlike PEA and AEP units, PEAs did not have their own connections. They did them wirelessly. Now that there was three of them, they were able to try again. It was clear that it was too much for a PEA. He was hunched over with bent knees and groaning in pain. The Magnetic Clan AEPs seem to have some strong solidarity because they still would not let us un plug them. It took them half and hour before the whole area was plunged into pitch black darkness. The comforting green light was now gone. The oppressive red aura then filled the surroundings. I assumed it was the color for the Conqueror faction. I walked over, cursing them. I got no response. I looked at them and said "You alright? You won." They all could track me with their eyes. The PEA unit yelped in pain and collapsed where he stood. He was dead. His eyes were blown out and blood leaked from every orfice. The huge problem was that the strain of hacking took all of the energy of the AEP units. They could not move a single muscle. It was too much for PEA units. I could not use my magic to give them any energy.
