After I chose to enter the game, my surroundings dissolved away and were replaced by a meadow that looked very familiar. Grass, trees, flowers, a creek. Purple sun, green sky, orange plants. It was the same environment as the testing area. It even had the same clashing colors.
"What the hell?" I said, and just like before, it was translated into Elvish. "It's the same damn meadow as before. Where's Epic City? Where are all the other players?"
I walked around for a few minutes, thinking that I'd at least bump into someone, but I was the only one there. Was this some sort of error in the program? The game couldn't send me into the virtual world, so it put me in the testing area instead? I wasn't sure. But I was starting to become worried. What if I was stuck there?
I had less than fifteen minutes to meet with up Suzie. I had to figure out what was happening and find a way to get to Epic City.
