The west end was especially blighted. It was known as Dysthymia Row in the southwest quadrant. There were drugs and gangs that filled up the gap. It made for fertile ground for people to rise up. The transmission hub that was near there. There was a derelict building that used to be a shoe store. The PEP units then renovated it into a manufacturing facility for a safe house. The Magnetic Clan PEPs worked there. Using 3D printing to fabricate stuff was easy. It was perfect for the Researchers faction. I was impressed. They could do everything they wanted and be praised. Medicine, prosthetics and cybernetic implants were given and upkept for free. That was great for this downtrodden community. In return, they got up and personal with a huge sample size of humans and all sorts of technology and codes. This made them actually very popular. Some people were aware of them being cyborgs and trusted them anyway. Now, the hub decided to take over another derelict store. It used to be a big furniture store on the opposite end of the gang area. This would now be a staffed hospital for them.

It would be giving full care to patients. It was a 3 story building. The first floor was the waiting room and the Trauma Center and ICU. The new Oncology department and the Pharmacy were on the third floor. The second floor was for the Heart Center. It seemed that was the specialization that they wanted. They said they really want to study the human body. Probing for all the small strengths and weaknesses. It had a department for cardiology and both a vascular and a cardiothoracic surgery room. A really state of the art facility. Underground was a morgue and an elevator to the clan main hall on a lower level. That was where they would have their labs and store all of their X-frames. I was ready for the foreigners to be out of our hair for good. Obviously, we were going to need a big truck or a convoy to transport all of their stuff. They would have 6 PEP and 5 AEP units as well as 3 X-frames to bring all the way across the continent. It would be a target for the government and the reprogrammers and all the other cyberpunks that would love to loot stuff. This would set whoever got it for life.

Even the other clans of PEP units would love to get their hands on this lucrative convoy. I would have to go along with Paul to make sure they were alright. Once they got there, it would be a simple cake walk to get back. We had a guy with a plane that could get us when we were done. After the full 9 weeks were done, they were really to spawn everything. All of the members of PBJ Clan was there in solidarity to watch them spawn in. Even my kids with Sunny and Lucy were there. It was very important for everyone to see it. Technically, they all had already seen this stuff before. It was just my second time. The Erosion Clan would be our third time watching another clan spawn in their AEP units. We watched as the 3 AEP units were born. It was just like the others that were born. We were watching in support. It was not really a problem for me at all. There were more than the Erosion X-frames that got wiped out. The large Conqueror factions could rally around their strongest units to get more clans up and running. I was not bothered since I was on the PEP unit's side. I wanted to help them.
