Next morning
Jennifer and Karyn both woke up rather early in the morning after a night of peaceful sleep. Both felt like they had best sleep ever - something about spending night in same bed together just made them feel relaxed and at ease. They both gave each other good morning kisses and took turns to use bathroom and get ready for a new day.
They took some time to decide on what to wear this day and decided that they might as well wear some of things they bought in the mall with Sarah. Karyn settled for denim shorts and white shirt she bought in mall while Jennifer decided to wear jeans and a fashionable new blouse she got. After both girls dressed up they went downstairs to see Sarah was helping Karyn's mother to set table for breakfast, where Karyn's father David was already drinking his morning coffee. All three greeted the girls with smiles on their faces.
"Morning you two." both of the girls returned the greeting to everyone "I like your new outfits, they look really cute on you. Sarah, really, you don't have to help. I got this." Karyn's mother Rachel Black said to the blonde girl. Sarah just shook her head "You took me in, Mrs. Black. This is the least I can do." Rachel smiles "Then I at least insist you call me Rachel. Mrs. Black makes me feel old." Karyn's dad cracked a smile at that which did not went unnoticed by Rachel "Finding something funny, dear?" Rachel asked in sweet voice and David hurriedly shook his head "Nothing, honey." Rachel nodded satisfied and looked at Jennifer and Karyn who watched all this with some amusement "Sit down you two. Pancakes are almost ready. You too, Sarah. I got this." Sarah looked like she wanted to argue, but after Rachel's look just nodded and sat down next to her friends, chatting them up.
"So, did you have good sleep? I did not really hear when you two went to bed last night." Jennifer and Karyn both nodded "We slept really well, actually. I can't even remember last time I slept so well." Jennifer replied and Karyn agreed "Likewise." Sarah nodded "I see. I slept really well too. Anyways, what are the plans for today, you two? Are you going to school today? Personally I am not really feeling like going by myself so if you two decided to skip today too, I am going to join you. When did you say we are going to meet your aunt, Jen?" Jennifer hummed "Actually, I am not entirely sure about exact time. Mom said sometime after lunch but it may as well be evening. I could text her." she said and took her phone to do that. Karyn hummed "And I am not sure about school. We already skipped one day, skipping two in a row might get us into trouble. Though are you sure you even want to go Sarah? After your outburst in mall at those three harpies I can't imagine you wanting to run into them again." Sarah shrugged "By now I am sure they did their best to ruin any kind of social life and status I had in school. Not that I really care. I would like some support if I am going there, though, so if you are willing to join me for day at school I would be thankful."
By this time Rachel set down plates full of pancakes in front of all three girls "If you girls don't feel like it you can skip today too, but personally I think you are better off going to school and dealing with everything sooner rather than later. I have day off today so if anything happens I can pick you three up from classes." David nodded "I agree with Rachel. I think you should go, but it is up to you. One more day will not really hurt." At this point Jennifer's phone vibrated as she glanced at text she got "Mom says that we are meeting aunt Ember at 3pm. She said she took some vacation days and that she will be meeting Ember earlier after father will be gone to work. So guess we can do whatever till then, think today's lessons end at 2pm for me and Karyn. How about you, Sarah?" Sarah thinks a bit "Same. So we are all going to school then or skipping?" She looked at Karyn and Jennifer.
