I palmed at the corrupted AEP unit's chest, looking for the port that was hiding the chip. I found it and waited for it to open up. 02 scowled and said "Stop it. I am keeping it." He had probably sealed it shut to keep me from just opening it against his wishes. He was my friend, so I was not going to push him about it. "That's fine." I told him gently. That made Zeta angry. "That's my chip! It belongs to me." he said. I shrugged. "You can make another one later. You don't even like 02 anyway." I dismissed his concerns. It made him storm off in anger. 02 was still laying in a puddle of the leaked blue nanites. I turned to look at the six PEA units in the room. "Okay. That was the proof of concept. We even manage to create a novel technique to use against hostile AEP units and one for males with the female upgrade installed." I smiled as they all smiled and cheered. From there, I dismissed the rest of them for the day. They went off to do whatever they wanted. I looked at 02. "Can you absorb the blue nanites on the floor? If you take them in, you can purge the corrupted ones?" I asked. He looked curious.
The puddle of blue receded towards him. It seemed like his body could absorb and integrate those nanites even if they were rejected in making the chips for the PEA unit that donated it. Once the dojo floor was all clean, 02 got up. He was smiling. "I was able to integrate quite a bit of the memory nanites. The memory chip also will give me a small boost with my rifle marksmanship." he reported. I smiled. I was genuinely happy for him here. "What do you think about it? Can you get rid of the corrupted ones now, or do you think you can purify it?" He shook his head. "There is no chance of me purifying the corruption. However, these blue nanites will help me with functionality going forward." "Then we can run this process near infinitely. Every time the squad completes a mission, we can have then give you more and more nanites. Eventually you will just have your pure nanites and various colored memory nanites." I said. He blinked and changed his outfit. His shirt became red with brown streaks. His shorts were black with some red streaks. He took his shirt off. "That was a large portion of corruption."
