“Man we're getting thrashed tonight.” Symone said as the Mount Valley Vixens entered the locker room.
“That’s what you want to talk about!?” Shannon, their team captain, shouted. “I told you guys that this place was weird.” She said shaking her head.
“Yeah. What happened to my boobs?” Meg inquired feeling her chest. The other girls in the squad murmured in agreement.
“And our voices.” Erin added.
“All right girls. Calm down.” Their coach Fiona Williams, Meg's Mom, said coming in to the room.
“Calm down?” Shannon repeated angrily. “We’ve been turned into freaks!” She said.
Fiona nodded. “I understand Shan.” She said. “Do you think that I wanted to look like this?” She asked gesturing to her now muscular body, polo shirt and khakis. Earlier this morning she had been wearing a simple purple tracksuit.
“I’m sorry coach.” Shan replied, she hung her head but then blinked and looked up again.
“Did you just call me Shan?”
“That’s your name isn’t it?” Fin replied before shaking her head. “I’m sorry. It just came out on autopilot. You've heard the rumours about this place.”
The squad nodded.
“Now, we know that they won’t cancel the game. So we might as well try and do our best to break this record streak of theirs.” Fin leaned in and started going through some tactics.
“Now, Nic and Sam are dominating the court.” Fin said running a hand through her short greying hair. “So I want Shan and Erin to focus on them...”
By the time the signal went indicating that halftime was over, The Vixens felt confident going in to the second half.
Just before they left the locker rooms though, Meg pulled her Mom aside.
“What are we going to tell Dad and Rob?” She asked, Rob was her brother.
Fin shrugged. “I’m not sure. We'll that out on the way home.” Meg nodded and joined the rest of the team.
Meanwhile, slightly ahead of them, Ash Miller, the only one in the squad who hadn't said anything about the changes nudged Shan.
“Hey, look on the bright side.” She said flexing her muscles. “At least we're stronger now.” She said with a grin.
“At least you’re enjoying yourself.” Shan replied, still trying to come to terms with what happened to them. Ash nodded and as they entered on to the court she spotted the cheerleaders in the middle, just finishing their routine.
“Man, the cheerleaders here are hot.” She mused.
“Remember though,” Shan said. “They’re guys here.” She pointed out. Although she had to admit she found them pretty hot as well.
“So?” Ash replied shrugging her shoulders. “Do you think that any of them are single?”
