Stepping into the kitchen, Jon saw his dad. He was dressed in, well, a dress. Nothing fancy, but it looked strange on his father, especially since it was tailored to fit his masculine body. What also looked strange was his dad's new long and styled hair, the make-up on his face, and his jewelry. "There you are, dear," he said. "Your mother is still at work and I have to get dinner started. Would you be so kind to go get your sister?" He handed Jon a set of car keys. Unlike his sister, Jon had his driver's license, but he didn't have a car of his own. It seemed that it was the same in this reality.
"Uh, okay," Jon said, taking the keys. "Where is she?"
"Hanging out with friends at the mall. I'm sure that you remember which stores she goes to. She's not going to skip out on another dinner with the family. You make sure that she comes back here with you," Jon's dad said.
"Uh, sure," Jon said, then headed towards the front door.
"Jon, honey. Don't forget your purse. You want to make sure you have your license with you," his dad said.
"Right," Jon said. He went back to his bedroom to grab his purse (as weird as that sounded), for a moment considering to try to leave this reality, before deciding that he was kind of curious about this world, then he came back downstairs and left the house.
