Before the lights went out, a couple of older guys challenged Mark and John. It did not go well for them. The pair were especially skilled at hand to hand combat. Mark snapped his opponent's neck with a well-placed heel drop. I flinched at the visceral sound of it. It was pretty gnarly to watch it happen from such a distance. John caught his guy in a deadly sleeper hold and snapped his neck with his bare hands. There were now 30 of us. When their partners joined the fray, we got down to 28. They did not stand a chance these mass murderers. I did not even know why they thought that they could take them. Then we were placed in the darkness. None of us were able to relax after seeing them get murdered in such a fashion. When the lights came back on, the voice came back. "We need to narrow it down to the final 20 soon. We are getting all the warning signs that an invader is coming." "If it is so serious, why can't we have the 20 best pilots and then the rest of us as backups?" I asked out loud. "Do not worry yourselves about that. We already have plans for back up pilots." the voice said.
That was when Mark pulled out a gun and began shooting. Between him and John, they took out the 8 pilots needed. The voice only chuckled. "Looks like that's all there is then. I will now read out all the names of our finalists." he said. The ones that remained were pretty traumatized. It was yet another mass murder scene. At least we were onto the next stage of whatever this is. We would be able to finally leave the facility and pilot the MTMs. The members of the top-secret piloting plan of the shadow organization were as follows:
