At this point it was do or die. There were the loners, Matt, and another boy and girl. The loner that rejected Mark went up to a boy that was really frustrated. He was crouched in the corner and was covering his face shaking. Clearly, the panic was setting in. The loner tapped him on the shoulder. "What the hell do you want!?" he snapped after the prodding did not stop. "Wanna try it with me. I'll be Bottom." The boy glared up at him. "Are you making fun of me? I've been trying to Top all day. I paired up with 3 girls and nothing happened!" The loner said "I'm not a girl. Try to Top me. If not, we can try you on the Bottom." "Shut up!" he said as he got to his feet. The other loner was a short haired blond guy with red eyes. He had scar tissue covering half of his face. He was wearing a leather dog collar and smiling as though this was his hour. He went over to the girl. She was only 13 and crying. It seemed the other guys did not want the baggage of taking on a little kid. It was the cruel reality. Especially if she was having troubles synching up with people. Even the horndogs that would rather have a girl did not want her.
The blond crouched in front of her. She did not seem to notice him. She was wrapped up in her own world of misery. We still did not know what it meant to be put aside. None of the adults here were above killing a child. On the other hand, that made it more likely they would just say that if that was what it meant. "Hey. What's your name?" he asked. She sniffled a bit as she tried to answer him. "Clara." she whined to him. He smirked and placed a hand on his collar. "On the streets, they call me Goldie. Can you do that?" he said. She looked at him with confusion. "Do what?" she asked. "Call me Goldie." he said with the same amount of cheer. "...Goldie." He smiled wider at her and said "Perfect! Let's be friends okay!?" Clara blinked at him before frowning. "I've been on the Bottom for 6 guys already and no one wants to sync up with me." Goldie rubbed his chin. "I see. What if I was the one on the Bottom then?" he asked. "But your a boy!" she gasped. "That scary guy over there was a Bottom and he looked happy. Why don't we try it?" She nodded and reached out to hold his hand. They walked over to a machine.
Goldie
Once there, they nodded to each other and began suiting up. Matt was still out of it. If the loners could seal the deal with their new partners, he was going to be out. John was concerned and tried to shake him awake, but Mark did not seem to care one bit. The black haired loner was already in his Bottom plugsuit, so it was his machine that went first. They began to sync up. The loner's bar was at 90% and the partner was at 55%. The partner then clenched up and it shot up to 65%. That was still not very good, but it was better than before. "Did we do it!?" the partner begged desperately. "MTM Synchronization Rate 59%." the monitor reported. "Thank goodness!" he said as the controls extended out to him from the loner's suit. Thinking on it, it seemed the loner had a special skill as well. "All's well that ends well, I guess." the loner said as he got up. "Hey. My name's Henry. What's yours?" the partner asked, extending a hand to shake. "My name is Oliver." was the response from the loner. The other machine was going off as well. Goldie had 88% of his bar filled. Clara only had 59%. "MTM Synchronization Rate 52%."
