Sarah became VERY warm. She soon was so warm that she passed out. She hit the floor and went into convulsions.
"Oh, my, GAWD!" screamed Jon.
He grabbed the rock from her cleavage. Jon's mom came running upstairs and saw Sarah in convulsions on the floor. Jon and his mother panicked. Jon didn't think about the rock and his mom just started screaming. Finally Jon had the presence of mind to dial 911.
The next day Jon trudged into history class.
"Jon can I speak with you?" asked the teacher Mr. Jenkins.
"Yes?" said Jon.
"I can't begin to express how concerned we all are about Sarah. It must have been terrible for you? I can't imagine being through that. I wonder how she got the Ebola Virus to begin with? Look, that stuff is supposed to be really contagious. I guess you got decontaminated, right?" asked a now shaking Mr. Jenkins.
"Well, they said that stuff comes from the water Mr. Jenkins." Said Jon.
"Oh no! Disease, germs, they are everywhere! Its highly contagious HIGHLY!" said Mr. Jenkins while he sat down and continued to shake.
"She's really sick Mr. Jenkins. She's going to be in the hospital quite awhile. But, I don't think YOU need to be afraid?" said Jon quizzically.
"NO, NO, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! Look, the test for today, it's the big test. She has to take this test to complete the class. But, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! I want you, since you are already contaminated to take it to her and..and..look here now, I don't want her to touch it. You are going to have to fill it out. In fact I don't want her breathing on this test. Talk to her on the phone or whatever you need to do. You just stand over there. Here, I'll leave the test on the table for you to pick up." said an insane sounding Mr. Jenkins.
(This guy is nuts! I might as well..oh, crap I might as well take the test for her! Oh, man. I wonder if she'd get well after I take the test for her?) thought Jon.
The rest of the day went uneventful and Jon was becoming increasingly terrified of the rock. He shared he's concerns with Karyn. She recommended that Jon complete the test for Sarah and get back to Mr. Jenkins the next day. Both kids didn't want to be around the rock until they could see what happened after Jon turned in the test.
The following morning Jon turned Sarah's test into Mr. Jenkins. Jenkins examined it with a set of binoculars and turned the pages with a yardstick. He then burned the test after recording an A for Sarah. As soon as Jon found out he called the hospital.
"How are you feeling?" asked Jon.
"I suddenly feel a LOT better!" said Sarah.
"Good, I took the test for you. You got an A." said Jon.
"Oh, yea, the big test was yesterday. I forgot. You took it for me? I guess being sick isn't all bad HEY, Wait, I am starting to remember. YOUR rock did this to me! To me! You know who I am squirt? Who do you think you are? You just wait I am going to have .." Screamed Sarah.
Jon hung up on Sarah in mid-sentence. Jon spent the rest of the day wondering what to do. That evening he met with Karyn and they took the rock out into Jon's back yard. Jon's back yard was open to the street. It was about 20 feet from the sidewalk to where Jon and Karyn sat chatting and weighing the rock's fate. That is until the car drove up and screeched to a halt.
Four people got out of the car, pointed at Jon and started running
