The lights flickered back on, and everyone started to come to.

Jon's head was hurting, he thought he must've hit it when the lights went out. He took his mask off and rubbed his eyes, something seemed different, but he couldn't tell what.

Looking around, as everyone was standing up again, he noticed how good their costumes looked, they looked completely real, like they were their characters.

Sarah was sitting in the middle of the stairs, looking like she'd fallen and hurt herself, she'd gone very pale, she began to yell.
"OKAY, EVERYONE OUT! PARTY'S CANCELLED! OUT! OUT! OUT!"

Jon rushed to help Karyn up and hurried her out of the house and to the sidewalk. Watching the people leave, he noticed some weird things.
The ones dressed as zombies were all stumbling and limping down the road, and the wounds looked real.
One of the jocks who came as half ostrich. His legs looked exactly like ostrich legs, his knees even bent backwards.
The cheerleaders all left in one group, all dressed as witches or vampires. The witches now had pale green skin, each with a wart on their nose.
And the vampire girls had become very pale, just like Sarah.

The couple dressed as headless horse people left together, carrying their pumpkin heads in their hands, no heads on their shoulders!
He also caught eye of the jock who was wearing the ballerina costume. He now had a slender female body, his head and muscular arms were unchanged though.
It was all very surreal.

"Oh crap" thought Jon, "Something must've gone wrong with the wish."

"Jon, can we get back to your house so we can take these stupid costumes off." said Karyn

~~~~~~
Jon's house was only a couple of blocks away, so they arrived in around 5 minutes. Making their way inside, they went up into Jon's room.
"You can borrow some of my clothes to get home" said Jon
"Thanks Jon" replied Karyn, her bunny ears drooping, which caugh Jon's attention.
"Uh.. Karyn... Can you take your rabbit ears off?" asked Jon
"Of course I ca-" paused Karyn, reaching up and tugging the ears. She began to panic, "Jon, help! They're stuck to me!"
Stepping over to Karyn, Jon parted her hair and looked at the base of her bunny ears, they had become a part of her, real rabbit ears.
"Karyn... they're real..." said Jon.
"Um.. J-Jon?" stuttered Karyn
"What?" replied Jon
"I think you've changed too."
Stepping back away from Karyn, Jon examined himself. Looking down, he noticed his chest protruded slightly, and further down, the bulge in his crotch was gone.
Shooting a hand down, he patted around his crotch. It was completely flat, his manhood was absent.
"Oh shit!" shouted Jon. "It's gone!"
"Oh fuck..." muttered Karyn. "Quick, take the costume off" she said, slipping her heels off.
~~~~~~

Karyn stood there in her underwear, while taking the costume off, she'd found she also had a fluffy rabbit tail.

Jon was finishing slipping his costume off, taking it off, he threw it onto his bed, then tried to take the wig off.
"Argh!" Jon shouted in pain. "It's not a wig anymore..." he said, "It's my hair".

Karyn was just standing there staring at him, he was more slender and feminine, he was even standing in an effeminate way.
Karyn spoke up. "Jon, your a girl, you've got boobs".

"WHAT!?" shouted Jon, placing his hands on his chest. He did have breasts, they were only an A-cup, but they were still breasts.
Then a terrible thought came over him, he sprinted into the bathroom and locked the door.

Lowering his boxers, he examined his crotch. His male parts were definitely gone, replaced by what was certainly female.

Returning to Karyn, he sighed in defeat.

"Oh come on Jon, lighten up" said Karyn, "We could just use the stone to fix this."

A smile spread across Jon's face. "Of course, why didn't I think of it"
Taking the stone out of the box, he made a wish. "I wish we weren't changed by our costumes"

Nothing happened. "Huh, what gives?" asked Karyn, confused.
"I don't know" replied Jon. "I wish I knew why that didn't work."

The stone glowed, and Jon's face dropped. "No..."

"What is it?" asked Karyn

"We're stuck like this until the party next year" mumbled Jon, defeated.
