Jon smiled and looked around the room, frowning feeling something was off. Then he saw it.
On the desk was a framed photo of him and guy-Sarah. The two of them were grinning and had an arm around each other's shoulder. Jon was about to wonder why when the memories surfaced, providing the answer.
In this reality Jon and Sam (Sarah's name in this world) had met in Elementary school and become friends. As they had gotten older they had found themselves becoming more attracted to each other until they finally came out to each other at thirteen. Since then they had been dating, and although Sam had developed an interest in weight-lifting while Jon (as he had in their original reality) had taken more of an interest in studying, they had remained close.
